Being the northern most of the 21 provinces of Mongolia and close to the Russian Border, Hovsgol redefines wild adventure with its snow-tipped mountains, clear rivers and lakes.
The region is named after the Lake Hovsgol, also referred to as the "Blue Pearl". This magnificent alpine lake extends to about 160 kilometers, and is believed to have the purest water in the world. The lake is currently protected as a National Park. Exploring Lake Hovsgol means being exposed to great beauty, especially in the summer when its beauty is highlighted by mountains covered with wildflowers.
